Clevedon Sunday Market!

Well it's the 3rd of September and I'm just back from a happy four hours in Clevedon, on the North Somerset Coast! I have to say I've always been a bit nervous about market selling - I mean it's sooo easy to hide behind your website isn't it :)

Sales aside, I would recommend dipping your toe into a market every now and then. It's so lovely to get feedback on your jewellery - even if you don't sell too much. A quiet 'ooh lovely' is sometimes all it takes to vindicate what you hopefully think about all your hard work.

Clevedon is a great market - held once a month - in and around the Hill Road area and today the sunshine really brought people out to browse and chat and also buy. I have to mention the lovely dogs of Clevedon who also came for a sniff and a lean. It's also good to meet other local artisans and shop keepers - such a positive day.

Here is a picture of two opal rings - both sold to men and looking so cool I think. My new opal inlay rings were popular and it was great to get such feedback as it's the first time I have taken them to a market - so some are currently out of stock. I guess I'll be busy next week. Do I mind? Not at all! I was also delighted by my last sale of the day. A lovely family bought their daughter a simple silver wrap ring to celebrate her first day at secondary school tomorrow. This was her first ring and she loved it. I feel so honoured to be able to play a small part in such a big change. Good luck for tomorrow little one!
